Darby Allin Doesn’t Want To Rush Steven Borden’s Training

Darby Allin talks Steven Borden.

After a very showy performance at AEW Revolution, Steven Borden, the son of Sting, announced that he is training to become a wrestler. Since then, Darby Allin has been providing regular updates on Borden’s status.

Allin is in no rush to get Borden inside of the squared circle, as he wants to make sure that he’s ready to fill the big shoes that ‘The Icon’ left behind.

“See the thing is, Steven, his son, is actually training a lot. It all depends, those are big shoes to follow, you know? Time is of the essence with that one, you don’t want to rush anybody because if you rush somebody in there [people will say], ‘Oh, that was a favor for Sting.’ Once Steven steps foot in the ring for the first time, we all want to be like, ‘Okay, he worked for this, he deserves this.’” Allin said while speaking to the Down Under The Ring podcast for a new interview.

Fightful will continue to update fans on Borden and his path to the ring.

Fightful will also have full coverage of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
