The viewership numbers are in for Dark Side of the Ring's latest special.
The April 14 episode that featured a documentary on Jimmy Snuka and the death of Nancy Argentino averaged 209,000 viewers and drew a 0.09 rating in the 18-49 demographic, according to numbers released by Showbuzz Daily. The Dark Side: After Dark show that aired immediately afterwards did not register within the top 150 and so, viewership numbers were not readily available.
The viewership number is the lowest for a Dark Side of the Ring episode this season and down from last week's episode that focused on the infamous Brawl For All tournament and averaged 226,000 viewers. That special also drew a 0.09 rating in the 18-49 demographic. As to how it compares to the other episodes for the season, the March 31 episode which focused on New Jack averaged 229,000 viewers and drew a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The season two premiere, which was a two-hour special on the Chris Benoit murder-suicide that aired on March 24 averaged 320,000 viewers and drew a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic on Vice, which were the highest viewership numbers and ratings in the history of the series. As for that special's Dark Side: After Dark show, it averaged 127,000 viewers and drew a 0.05 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The next episode of Dark Side of the Ring will focus on the assassination of Dino Bravo and air on April 21.
