The viewership numbers are in for Dark Side of the Ring's latest special.
The March 31 episode that featured a documentary on former ECW star New Jack averaged 229,000 viewers and drew a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic, according to numbers released by Showbuzz Daily. The Dark Side: After Dark show that aired immediately afterwards averaged 92,000 viewers and a 0.05 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
Both numbers are down from the season two premiere, which was a two-hour special on the Chris Benoit murder-suicide that aired on March 24. That two-hour special averaged 320,000 viewers and drew a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic on Vice, which were the highest viewership numbers and ratings in the history of the series. As for that special's Dark Side: After Dark show, it averaged 127,000 viewers and drew a 0.05 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
The viewership numbers for the New Jack documentary are the third-highest in series history behind the Benoit special and the 234,000 viewers the season one special that focused on the Von Erich family averaged.
The next episode of Dark Side of the Ring will air on April 7 and focus on the Brawl For All.
