Dave Bautista has making the rounds to promote his new movie "Final Score," which is out today, Sept. 14.
Speaking to SPORTbible, Bautista revealed how WWE prepared him to be an action star, while also discussing the toughest part of wrestling.
"Being on the road with WWE is such a grind. It really just developed my work ethic. I always had a strong work ethic, but nothing like after I came out of WWE. It really prepared me to tolerate anything," said Bautista. "You have to have a really think skin there to begin with, but you also have to just pull your weight and be willing to sacrifice. And I have, I sacrificed a lot. Been through a lot of injuries, a lot of lost time with the family. Throughout my wrestling career, I was just never home."
The former World Champion stated that being on the road so much with WWE led to the end of his marriage. Bautista divorced his second wife, Angie, in 2006.
The Animal sounds much happier being an action star, but that hasn't stopped him from missing pro wrestling. He recently stated that he misses wrestling "daily" and let out that he hasn't been invited to SmackDown 1000, which takes place in his hometown.
