David Marquez hopes UWN Primetime Live will return in the summer.
UWN Primetime Live occupied a space in the wrestling universe in the final months of 2020 with weekly episodes airing on Fite TV. UWN formed a partnership with the NWA during the time and featured various NWA championship matches on its programming.
UWN Primetime Live was suspended in December 2020 due to the pandemic.
Taking to social media, UWN President David Marquez gave the following update:
WHEN'S PRIMETIME LIVE COMING BACK?
This is the question I hear the most, so here's an update. What we learned is a paywall does not work. No matter how inexpensive we think it may be for the public, it's not going to be financially successful. I'm happy as a producer that we weren't too much in the red but we definitely want to be in the black. So my team has been negotiating with broadcasters, streaming services and brands to cover the cost of the programming so you don't have to pay to watch it. I can say we're close to closing a deal and it's my goal to be back on the air by this summer.

Marquez was part of the National Wrestling Alliance ahead of the pandemic but announced he was not invited back to the company upon their return.
NWA returned to running events on Sunday, March 21 with NWA Back for the Attack. NWA Powerrr airs each Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. ET on Fite TV.
