#DIY are dialed in and want to be the next WWE Tag Team Champions.
On October 25, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, #DIY, will take on Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, the Motor City Machine Guns, for the first time ever. The match will take place in Brooklyn, New York, and the next challenge for the WWE Tag Team Titles will be determined, currently held by The Bloodline's Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
On the October 18 episode of WWE SmackDown LowDown, Johnny Gargano addressed his familiarity with the Motor City Machine Guns and praised their revolutionary wrestling style while hyping the upcoming match.
"Everyone in WWE is new to the Motor City machine guns. We are not. This is a match we have wanted for a very, very long time. We have known the Motor City Machine Guns for a long, long time. Alex Shelley, for me personally, has been like a big brother in me throughout my whole career. They revolutionized tag team wrestling. They did. I'm just being honest with you."
Tommaso Ciampa, I spoke with an equal level of respect for the accomplishments of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin but made it clear that #DIY would be re-capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships.
"They revolutionized it, but here's the thing: Right place, wrong time. Ten years ago, the Motor City Machine Guns. They would be the uncrowned kings of this division. But today, if you're listening, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, the uncrowned kings of the tag team division are us, #DIY. See you next week. Whatever it takes."
