While chatting with Mark Madden for a new interview, Callis said that he had an offer to replace Mark Madden on commentary if Eric Bischoff had bought the promotion.

"I’ve worked for every wrestling promotion, major wrestling promotion in the world, except for WCW, where I actually had an offer on the table to go in, had (Eric) Bischoff bought it. It was to be color [commentator] on Nitro. I wasn’t going to reference [the fact that I was replacing you]."

Elsewhere in the interview, Callis said that AEW is the best company that he's ever worked for. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
