Drew McIntyre Says There Was An Outline For Segment With CM Punk And Seth Rollins, 'It's Stupid To Write It All Down'

Drew McIntyre reflects on WWE Raw segment.

The segment between Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins on WWE Raw garnered a lot of attention from fans as the three men traded personal shots and things got a bit uncomfortable when Punk tried to get McIntyre to say Vince McMahon's name when McIntyre referred to himself as "The Chosen One," a nickname given to him by McMahon.

Appearing on Torg & Elliott, McIntyre discussed what went into the segment.

"This week, a lot of stuff, if you watch that interview with myself, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins, I'm sure you could feel the tension," he said after explaining that plans are a collaboration right up until showtime.

When the line "Chosen One" line was mentioned and how fans could feel the tension, McIntyre said, "Basically, the whole thing, if it felt uncomfortable, it's because there was an outline and it's three guys going out there who may not like each other and may have personal feelings, but also are good at their job and we go out there and tear into each other verbally without it on a piece of paper because it's stupid writing everything down to deliver it to a live audience."

McIntyre got the last word in on Monday, but ended up being laid out by Rollins to close the segment.
