Drew McIntyre a big fan of Sheamus' new look.
Sheamus suffered a broken nose on the May 31 episode of WWE Raw at the hands of Humberto Carrillo and has been forced to wear a protective mask ever since. Sheamus' longtime friend Drew McIntyre was doing an interview with the Battleground podcast when Sheamus, mask on, interrupted.
McIntyre had a chuckle and commented, "Look at thing [The mask], it's a massive improvement, actually, that thing on your face."
The two continued to fling some jokes about Sheamus' age before McIntyre did pay respect to his friend and rival.
"We've been through so much together. We're on Raw one week, he just kicks me in the face and we battle each other for three matches in a row, which was a lot of fun. If he wants to show up at Money in the Bank, wait until I win first, and if you want to face me at SummerSlam -- that's the only thing our matches missed. With three significant matches where we laid into each other and we set a new level of physicality that nobody could possibly match because we committed crimes on each other in that ring. If anyone thinks, 'that wrestling is not for me,' put on a Sheamus vs. McIntyre match. That's as real as it gets. We deserve a crowd," he said.
McIntyre is always complimentary of Sheamus and wanting to do more with him even after the feud.
He previously elaborated on wanting to tell their story in front of a live crowd, which you can read by clicking here.
McIntyre is currently set to take part in the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match at WWE Money in the Bank. You can check out the current lineup for the show by clicking here.
