Drew McIntyre delivered a passionate message on the December 18 episode of WWE Raw.
World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins came to the ring and addressed his match against McIntyre on the "Day 1" edition of Raw on January 1. McIntyre interrupted him and made it clear that he was proud of Rollins for standing up to CM Punk on the December 11 episode, as he noted that many others in the back were kissing up to Punk. McIntyre then got emotional as he highlighted the sacrifices he has had to make, and he referenced not being there for his loved ones when they needed him.
McIntyre emphasized that he needed the title, as it would show him that the sacrifices he made and the pain he caused were worth it. He vowed to do whatever it takes to win the gold. Rollins fired back by noting that he was not sure whether he could trust McIntyre, and he said the former champion needed to take responsibility for his actions. Rollins told "The Scottish Warrior" that the only one to blame for McIntyre not being a world champion was Drew McIntyre.
