Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Becomes The Highest Paid Actor In The History Of Forbes' 'Celebrity 100' List

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has made a smooth transition from professional wrestler to Hollywood movie star. Johnson appeared in a number of movies while he was with the company as a full-time in-ring performer but he soon ventured off to pursue acting full time.

In 2017 Johnson starred in three movies: 'Baywatch', Jumanji, and The Fate Of The Furious. This year he has starred in the film 'Rampage' and the latest film to hit theaters around the world is Skyscraper. 'Rampage' grossed a total of $425.7 million in worldwide revenue and the film Jumanji totaled nearly $1 billion which made the film the fourth most profitable movie release in 2017.

The accolades continue to be added to Dwayne Johnson's resume' as it was announced by Forbes that he was listed at #5 on the Forbes highest paid celebrities of 2018 list. To add onto that, the former 10-time WWE World Champion was discovered to be the highest paid actor in the twenty-year history of the list. Johnson reflected on the accomplishment via Instagram.

 

Among the great amounts of love and praise Johnson received as this news broke, he also received a congratulations from the man who helped him put together his WWE on-screen character, Vince McMahon.
