Eddie Edwards Would Love To See EC3 Show Up At IMPACT Slammiversary

IMPACT Wrestling has created intrigue for Slammiversary on Saturday, teasing a former World Champion and recently released WWE superstars as appearing.

In the main event of Slammiversary, a new IMPACT World Champion will be crowned as Eddie Edwards, Trey, Ace Austin, and a mystery opponent will compete in a fatal four-way bout.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Edwards gave his thoughts on who he would like the mystery opponent to be.

"If I'm being selfish, I'm friends with EC3, I'd love to see EC3 back. He meant so much to TNA and IMPACT. He was there when I first came in and I'm still friends with him. I would love to see him back and see what he's capable of doing now with the new character that we see on Twitter and the socials. I'd love to see what he can accomplish and I'd love to wrestle him again," he said. "The story can tell itself. EC3 is a former Carter and I've been here the whole time, struggling, doing my best to be the face of the company to help IMPACT so I think that story writes itself."

IMPACT has teased the return of EC3, who is a former two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

EC3 recently spoke to Fightful about his release, his narrative, and more. You can check out the entire interview by clicking here.

Fightful will have live coverage of IMPACT Slammiversary on Saturday beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
