Eddie Kingston Announces He's No Longer Working Independent Dates

Eddie Kingston is taking a break from the independent scene.

Eddie Kingston took to Instagram to announce that he will not be taking independent dates for the time being as NJPW Strong Openweight Champion and ROH World Champion. Kingston cited his championship responsibilities and a back injury, which he promises to get fixed, as his reasons.

From Eddie:

I love the Independents but times have changed. I am truly sorry for not being able to do them right now. But I am truly no bullshit trying to be the best Champion for both NJPW strong and ROH and must put that above anything else right now. This sucks.

Kingston was scheduled to wrestle Bryan Keith at Warrior Wrestling on October 6. No announcement has been made regarding his status for the show.

Kingston won the ROH World Title from Claudio Castagnoli at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.
