Eddie Kingston will defend the gold at AEW Full Gear.
On the November 17 episode of AEW Collision, Jay Lethal announced that he will challenge Eddie Kingston for the ROH World Championship on the Zero Hour ahead of AEW Full Gear. Lethal claimed that Kingston had been avoiding the challenge. Kingston noted that they had known each other for a ling time. He told Lethal that he was becoming a coward like Jeff Jarrett. Tensions rose, and the two foes had to be separated. Kingston then briefly stared down Ortiz.

Lethal previously earned a shot at the title when Jeff Jarrett beat Eddie Kingston in a Memphis Street Fight on the October 21 episode of AEW Collision.
Kingston won the title by defeating Claudio Castagnoli at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.
