Amale talks winning the wXw Women's Championship.
In June of 2019, Amale would feature in a fatal four way match for the wXw Women's Championship, and shocked many by capturing the title in a match that also featured Toni Storm, Killer Kelly and the now Lyra Valkyria. She would then go on to hold the title for a lengthy stretch before losing the title outside of competition.
While speaking to Fightful's Corey Brennan in a recent interview, Amale discussed winning the wXw women's championship and her pride to be a part of history.
"It was surprising for me too, to be honest. It was very new. I had started with wXw, I think, three months before getting the title. To be able to share the ring with Toni Storm, with Killer Kelly, with Aoife, that was huge for me. Being French, coming from a small scene and having this big opportunity. I think no one saw it coming, even the fans. what got such like good reaction as well, but yeah I was so grateful for the opportunity and as you said I represented the company so had to be there all the time and it was hard work. That was good memories, I'm really proud of that but now that they retired the title, I am proud to be part of the history forever so that's cool."
The wXw Women's Championship is now defunct.
Elsewhere in the same interview with Fightful, Amale reflected on her bouts with Meiko Satomura. You can read more about that here.
