Becky Lynch comments on her contract.
On April 17, 2023, Fightful Select reported that Becky Lynch's contract with WWE was set to expire in June 2024. Lynch is one of the most decorated female superstars in WWE, winning gold across all three brands and being the first woman to headline and win in the main event of WrestleMania.
At the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff green carpet event, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp asked Lynch about contract negotiations and how you can say 'pay up' given WWE's financial growth, new media deals, and other talent re-signing.
"That's just what you do," she stated. "I think, more than anything, it's about deciding what the future looks like. What is the best avenue for the future, and what are the goals and what do you want to achieve? Then, you make decisions intelligently."
Lynch is set to compete inside the Elimination Chamber at WWE Elimination Chamber.
At the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff, Lynch confronted WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley and told her that when The Man is around, Mami will be on the bottom.
