Big Dave wants to share the ring with Mad Dog Connelly.
In 2024, Connelly officially established himself as one of the top names in independent wrestling, building a cult following iconic Dog Collar matches with Demus and One Called Manders.
While chatting with Jeremy Lambert and Stephen Jensen of Fightful Overbooked's Spotlight podcast, Big Dave praised Mad Dog Connelly, saying that he carries a very intense energy with him.
"Mad Dog is a scary dude. He has a very intense energy about him. In the few times I’ve been in his presence in the locker room, ‘This dude is intense.’ He wrestle barefoot. I’ve done that one time. I don’t want to ever do that ever again. We have psychopaths like Mad Dog Connelly and Cabana Man Dan out here wrestling barefoot. Piggies out for the whole world to see. [Dog collars] hurt. I’ve been farming in my time. I know chains hurt. You can get a toe stuck up in there, snap one of those things off. I’d love to get in there with Mad Dog. Two big dudes throwing lumber on each other."
Elsewhere in the interview, Big Dave said that he is influenced by names like Magnum TA, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Stan Hansen, and 'Wild' Bill Irwin.
