Braun Strowman's Contract Almost Ran Out Before WWE Re-Signed Him

No term limit for Braun Strowman yet, as he's with WWE for four more years.

The Greatest Royal Rumble winner Strowman recently announced that he had extended his WWE deal, and would be remaning with WWE until at least mid-2023. In speaking with Fightful, Strowman revealed that his WWE contract actually almost ran out before both sides re-upped.

"It was just winding down, I had a little over a month left on my contract and we just came to an agreement. I felt like both sides of the party were happy and we look forward to four more years of people getting these hands," said Strowman.

Since signing, Strowman has been thrust back into a prominent role, despite missing Summerslam. Even though he dropped the contract news himself, the former WWE Raw Tag Team Champion said that he was pleasantly surprised that the news didn't land online first.

"It does (surprise me). I try to keep my business life as quiet as possible. I hate it when people outside of the business know what I’m doing before I know what I’m doing. So it’s kind of cool that we were able to keep that hush-hush and nobody stooged it off to the dirt sheets like so many of these marks like to do!" he laughed heartily at his own statement (while wearing Crocs) as the interview closed.
