Bron Breakker finally got the chance to perform in front of his dad.
On September 14, 2021, the re-imagined NXT 2.0 made its debut, and along with the brighter set came a roster of new faces. One such name was Bron Breakker. The son of the legendary Rick Steiner won his debut match against LA Knight that evening, and just over a month later was challenging for the NXT Championship.
Despite falling short in his first attempt for the title, Bron received another chance at New Year's Evil and made good this time around, pinning Tommaso Ciampa to win his first Championship in NXT.
Speaking with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Breakker revealed that the January 4 event was the first time his father had seen him perform live.
"It was really cool," Bron said about celebrating in the ring with his father after winning the NXT Championship. "It was the first time he's seen me perform. It was an unbelievable moment. I'll never forget it."

Though he has found success in wrestling, Breakker notes that his two brothers are both working and doing their own thing right now, but doesn't rule out the possibility that maybe someday we will also see them in the ring.
"We all kind of do our own stuff. My oldest brother, he works on cars and is a handyman and is really good at working on stuff and fixing stuff. He's an electrician and does welding. He is so technically inclined and a very intelligent person. My middle brother, the same way. He does roofing and stuff. He's a bit more of the construction route, but he was an athlete in college as well, we all three were. We're all just doing our stuff. Who knows. Maybe someday," he told Fightful.
Bron Breakker has only had nine televised matches since his debut, amassing a record of 8 wins and 1 loss (to Ciampa at Halloween Havoc).
Fightful provides live coverage of NXT every Tuesday night with a post-show review immediately following its conclusion.
