Bryan Danielson talks about AEW wrestlers he thinks would have a shot against a bear.
Bryan Danielson's affinity for wrestling bears dates back to his time as Daniel Bryan in WWE. It's a great tradition, wrestling bears. Stu Hart wrestled a bear. Now, Danielson is commenting on who he thinks could have a good chance against a bear on the AEW roster.
Speaking with Fightful's Shirleigh ahead of AEW All In 2024, Danielson immediately named Swerve Strickland and Claudio Castagnoli as two names who would do well against a bear. He got excited about the promotional prospect of Satnam Singh wrestling a bear. He would go so far as to joke that he would call Tony Khan and try to get the match booked for Wembley Stadium.
"I think Swerve could wrestle a bear. Claudio, for sure, could wrestle a bear," he said. "Satnam Singh. I mean, who would not pay [to see that]? I'm gonna call Tony. I'm gonna not do the rest of these interviews. I'm gonna call Tony, and I'm gonna get Satnam versus a bear at Wembley Stadium."
While Satnam Singh against a bear is not a lock for Wembley Stadium's AEW All In card, one match that is will see Brian Danielson put his career on the line against Swerve Strickland's AEW World Title.
