Cara Noir Felt Like He 'Let Riot Cabaret Down' After Vacating World Title

Cara Noir discusses Riot Cabaret and possibly returning to the promotion.

At the beginning of last year, Cara Noir would suffer a serious foot injury that came close to ending his career. At the time, he was the Riot Cabaret World Champion and was forced to relinquish the title as a result of his injury. Last month, Cara made his long awaited return to pro wrestling at Progress: Wrestling Never Sleeps, with some fans wondering if a Riot return is also in his future.

While speaking to Fightful's Corey Brennan in a recent interview, Cara was asked about a return to Riot Cabaret and noted that he would be up for it given the right timing. Cara also put over the promotion as a variety show and a home for his character.

"Of course. There's lots of opportunities that have come up, even before I'd turned up the other day at the Ballroom and it's just trying to judge that right time. I felt really bad for Riot Cabaret at that period of time because I just won their title and I felt like I let them down because they were planning X, Y and Z and then they all had to pivot and change. But there is a lot of... it's such an amazing event, I think, right? Cabaret as a all-round piece, it's one of those shows that you can bring anyone in even non-wrestling fans and they'll have a great time. That's the type of wrestling I have. That variety show of wrestling is the thing that I'm really passionate about. Like I'm not everyone's taste and that's perfectly fine. But for me, I love a little bit of everything. I like a little bit of technical wrestling, Lucha Libre, high flying, clowning, whatever it is. Even Nina Samuels singing her you know, getting her musical thing in. Even that is a great, like, variety show."

Cara last competed for Riot Cabaret in April of last year, capturing the world championship from Chuck Mambo in singles action.

Fightful also recently interviewed Riot Cabaret's co-founders. You can check out that full interview here.
