Cheeseburger would be open to being a trainer in the Ring of Honor Dojo if the decision were made to reopen that facility.
Cheeseburger was once closely associated with the ROH Dojo and helped train Future of Honor prospects. ROH is now under the ownership of Tony Khan and Cheeseburger says if the decision were ever made to reopen the Dojo he would be honored to continue the legacy of helping to train the future of ROH.
Appearing on Fightful Overbooked's Coexisting w/ Rob & Maggie, Cheeseburger spoke about how training new stars helps keep his passion for wrestling alive.
“Yeah, if that was something they wanted to bring back, like kind of the old ROH Dojo, especially being someone that was such a big part of the ROH Dojo program and being a trainer there for so long before they ended up moving it into a different path, and seeing the people that came out there and getting to teach there, any time I can apply and spread my wrestling knowledge to anyone, no matter where it is, whether it’s Europe or whether it’s a developmental here, I want to be a part of that, whether that’s the Ring of Honor Dojo or whatever that may be, I would love to do that. As much as I love wrestling, teaching is the thing that really keeps me going. It’s awesome, and it’s super awesome to see people succeed. So if the ROH Dojo did come back and they want me to be a part of that, that’s something I would definitely consider."
Cheeseburger still trains wrestlers at the Worldwide Dojo along with Sumie Sakai. Learn more about the facility here.
