Chelsea Green is hanging around in WWE.
The Smackdown star has been on the shelf since November with an injury, but has re-signed with WWE through 2023. Fightful Select reported the following:
We'd mentioned recently that several WWE talent that were offered new contracts hadn't signed theirs, but you can mark one name off that list.
Fightful learned from WWE sources that Chelsea Green signed a new three-year deal with the company at some point since her wrist injury that sidelined her from in-ring action for the past few months in November. Her original contract was set to expire in the Summer.
As reported in the past, there have been several creative pitches with Chelsea Green that weren't used before her debut.
Prior to Green's injury, she was slated to win a Survivor Series qualifying match, and be renamed "Victorious." She was planned for the Survivor Series PPV before getting injured in her Smackdown debut., and hasn't appeared on WWE TV since.
The former Laurel Van Ness has appeared on WWE programming on and off for years through Tough Enough and as an extra, in addition to her NXT run. She would also work in IMPACT where she'd win their Knockouts Championship
