Cole Radrick wasn't expecting to do it, but he's ready to take on his tag team partner in the 2025 GCW/JCW Jersey J-Cup.
The Jersey J-Cup Tournament has quickly become one of the most prestigious modern independent wrestling tournaments. This year's tournament includes the legendary Amazing Red, Joey Janela, NJPW's Kevin Knight and Gabe Kidd, TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich, and more. One of the first-round matches of the tournament will see the current GCW World Tag Team Champions, Alec Price and Cole Radrick, go one-on-one.
Speaking to Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl on Fightful Overbooked In The Weeds, Cole Radrick previewed the upcoming match, saying he and Alec aren't planning any shenanigans to get around the impending bout. They understand that the tournament is every man for himself and plan on shaking hands at the start of the match and continuing as a team after the match.
"If we pin the referee and count to three, does that count? I don’t think a double pin would work, I think we’d probably both end up taking an L. Literally and morally," he said. "That’s in either me of Alec’s DNA. I know how Alec is wired and how I’m wired. It’s going to be competitive. We don’t have it in us to hold back. We don’t have it in us to go 80%. We only both know how to go and go 100%. I’m not expecting an easy night at the office. I’m not expecting an easy match. I’m expecting to go in there with one of my best friends, my brother, my co-tag team champion. We’ll walk in there, we’ll shake hands, we’ll fight it out. Win, lose, or draw, the Gahbage Daddies will continue to go on. One of us will win the tournament. That’s the biggest disappointment is it doesn’t build up to me and Alec in the final. If you put me and Alec on either side of the bracket and we build that motherfucker to the end, it ends with Alec Price and Cole Radrick because we’re the two best going right now. He’s going to bring it the same way I bring it. Only one can walk out the winner. We both understand that."
Fightful will cover the two-night tournament on February 15 and 16. Fans can watch the tournament on Triller TV, which is free for subscribers to TrillerTV+.
