Dan The Dad Explains How Being A Wrestler Himself Helps Him Scout Talent For Glory Pro Wrestling

Dan The Dad discusses the balance between being both an in-ring talent and a promoter.

Dan The Dad, who many people know from his viral spots on social media, is not just a wrestler, as he is the owner of Glory Pro Wrestling, an independent promotion that runs in St. Louis, Missouri.

Alongside running Glory Pro, Dan The Dad regularly competes in the promotions like Black Label Pro and Freelance Wrestling.

While speaking to Fightful Overbooked's Indied Podcast for a new interview, Dan talked about balancing both of those positions, while also working a full time job.

“Well, it’s a lot so [laughs]. It really is, it’s tough and I work a full time job too, so I don’t have too much of a life. One of my favorite things about being a wrestler/promoter is being on the road myself, and so much talent that is on the shows are people that I’ve seen travel so you’re not really limited to just who is in the area or who your friends are or anything. It’s traveling and seeing new people, and then bringing them in as logistics allow or whatever. To be somebody that travels and sees new people, it only helps. It makes the promoting aspect easier, ‘Who should I get? I saw this great tag team the other day, let’s get them in.’ So I’m always paying attention to shows that I promote or shows that I’m performing on elsewhere, I always watch the whole show as much as I can because you’re always on the lookout for new talent that would be great to bring in. It makes the promoting aspect or the booking aspect so much easier by going around and traveling and seeing who’s getting hot on the indies.”
