Dax Harwood reveals FTR's tag team opponent wish list.
Since coming to All Elite Wrestling in 2020, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have got to have great matches the likes of the Young Bucks, The Briscoes, The Lucha Bros, Aussie Open, and even Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson. There are still teams out there that Harwood and Wheeler haven't got a chance to face off with, and there are also teams that Harwood specifically still has on his wish list.
In a new interview with Fightful, Harwood listed off a couple teams that FTR would like to face off with, even if they have fought them in the past.
"Violence is Forever is a team that we tried to make something work, but it’s just hard with our schedule and then we also have to get the okay from Tony. For a couple of years, we’ve tried. But yeah, we’d work with them. The Edge & Christian thing. I’ll just say that that’s more of a possibility than people think. Dude, we had one match with the Street Profits when they were first coming up. It was great. Dawkins is an incredible talent, underrated talent. He’s been in that system for nine years. He’s got the charisma that isn’t as forward as Montez. He has his charisma inside. To me, that’s more of an innate it factor charisma as Angelo Dawkins. So I’d love to work with those guys. We had a couple of matches with the Usos in 2018 and going into 2019. But I think both teams are at the peak of our careers; creatively, character wise and athletically as professional wrestlers. I think that us together, right now, two badass Samoan guys and two badass Southern guys who don’t mind throwing hands and also don’t mind talking a little shit. I think that could make for some really, really good storytelling."
The Usos, The Street Profits, and Edge all currently reside in WWE. Christian, however, is currently working in AEW with Harwood and Wheeler. Violence Is Forever (Kevin Ku & Dominic Garrini) are a standout team on the independent scene that have won over seven different sets of tag team championships before.
Elsewhere in the interview, Harwood discussed Edge & Beth Phoenix using the Shatter Machine at the Elimination Chamber premium live event in February. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
