MLW has retained an integral part of their women's division.
Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that Delmi Exo has re-signed with Major League Wrestling. We're told the contract is multi-year in length. There were several months left on her current contract but both sides were excited to get ahead and work out a new deal.
We're told MLW has been very happy with Exo, from her in-ring work to contributions in the locker room. We've heard much of the same for Janai Kai, of whom Exo has been feuding with and signed with the company recently. The company is building their entire women's division around these two.
MLW Founder & CEO Court Bauer and Creative Director of MLW's Women's Division Salina De La Renta put the deal together.
Exo had signed with MLW in February 2023, and told Ella Jay she was hoping to stand out as a singles competitor, and having the opportunity to do that drew her there. Exo is a former MLW World Featherweight champion, having defeated Taya Valkyrie for the title in April 2023. She initially came into the company as a member of the Sea Stars with her sister Ashley Vox. Vox took an extended period away from wrestling and has returned to the indies as a singles competitor.
Exo is expected to continue working on the independent circuit as well.
Delmi spoke with Fightful's In The Weeds, which you can see below.
