Friday's Smackdown saw a violent end to the show, that spilled over after the FOX broadcast ended. It turns out, some of that was supposed to air on the show.
Smackdown ended during the brawl between Raw, Smackdown and NXT. After the show, WWE posted a video of everything continuing, including a huge spot featuring Ali and NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush. This led to some Sour Graps among some wrestling pundits about why it wasn't on the air.
Last night, The OC cut an aimless meandering two minute promo that advanced no storylines and gave us no new information. Because of that, at the end of the show, the broadcast ended before millions of people could see Ali do this.

Seems like an efficient use of time. https://t.co/I1rJ6weyT7
Saturday afternoon, Fightful Select was able to confirm with several people involved in the segment that Smackdown was originally supposed to go off the air with the Spanish Fly dive between Ali and Lio Rush. However, due to some issues with timing and cues, the plan went awry.
WWE Smackdown would go off the air at 9:58 EST, which has been the case several times over the past month.
