Exclusive: Seth Rollins Denies Giving Speech At WWE Talent Meeting About Crown Jewel; Who Spoke Up?

Meeting-gate?

After the travel woes coming out of Saudi Arabia that annoyed much of the WWE roster, WWE held a talent meeting on Monday before WWE Raw. Reports emerged that Seth Rollins had given a "rah-rah speech" at the meeting. Rollins called the reporter a "purveyor of misinformation or at worst an outright, vindictive liar," saying he hoped it was the former.

We can't speak to those reports specifically, but had heard of the meeting. A WWE talent had reached out to Fightful in the morning and said "Seth did not make a peep during that meeting, didn’t say a word. People are going after him for no reason." Looking to clarify that statement, Fightful Select reached out to Rollins in the afternoon, and heard back from him.

"Vince (McMahon) and Triple H held an all talent meeting to explain the travel situation returning from Crown Jewel. They commended the talent for their conduct in a tough spot and fielded questions and allowed anyone to voice their feelings on the matter. Some talent spoke up and overall it was a productive forum. I said zero words. I made no speech. Pretty simple," Rollins told Fightful

Last week, Rollins lost the WWE Universal Championship to "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, and was subject to the same travel woes as the majority of the WWE roster. Several members of the roster had reached out to Fightful to air their greivances over that period, with some skeptical of the reasons they were being given in regards to the travel delays, and others just simply waiting it out until the travel arrangements were eventually settled.

After Fightful Select got in touch with Seth Rollins today about the WWE Raw talent meeting, several other members of the WWE Raw roster have spoken to us about the meeting.

All confirmed the nature of the talent meeting, but shot down the initial reports that Randy Orton made a light hearted joke in order to soften the mood. According to one talent " No one said anything dumb. Opposite actually. Weird meeting but no one acted up."

The Dave Meltzer report of AJ Styles and Rusev speaking up when questions were fielded was accurate. In addition, Karl Anderson spoke out too

"AJ, Rusev and Karl spoke up. Seth didn’t say anything, neither did Randy. Joke, or otherwise. Nothing TO say lol. We were told everything out there was rumors," said one source.

We should clarify, the only information we received from Seth Rollins was the on-the-record quote we published, and he's not been used as an anonymous source in this piece.
