Jimmy Lloyd Doesn't Want To Only Be A Deathmatch Wrestler; Hopes To Have A Match Against Jeff Hardy

Jimmy Lloyd is a "Different Boy" but sees himself as a "Similar Creature" to Jeff Hardy.

Jimmy Lloyd is a fan favorite at all GCW events and for someone who has been a fan of wrestling for a long time, it means a lot to him to have that support but he also has goals beyond just the world of deathmatch wrestling.

Recently, Jimmy Lloyd spoke with Fightful’s Stephen Jensen at the GCW Astronaut event at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. During the interview, Jimmy spoke about not wanting to be labeled simply a “deathmatch wrestler.” He wants to be able to branch out and be a hybrid of all wrestling styles and put the “wrestling” in “deathmatch wrestling.”

"I don’t want to just be labeled a deathmatch wrestler," said Jimmy. "I want to be a hybrid wrestler. I want to be able to adapt to anyone’s style along with doing deathmatches. I don’t want to do death matches where it’s just hitting people with items or light tubes or whatever. I want to be able to put the wrestling in deathmatch."

"I like Nick Gage, 'Sick' Nick Mondo, Danny Havoc, then I also like Jeff Hardy. People like that," said Jimmy.

Jimmy Lloyd is also hopeful that one day he will get a chance to step in the ring with Jeff Hardy. For him, that is the ultimate dream match.

"I’m hoping. That’s a dream match of mine," he said. "That’s the craziest match you can get, I believe."

Jimmy was once simply a trainee and somebody was glad to help out during early GCW cards. Speaking about his transition from being a fan to a wrestler, Jimmy says he was given the opportunity on the third Game Changer Wrestling card and never looked back.

"I was training and I started helping out real early on in GCW. On the third GCW show, I was given the opportunity, and ever since I’ve just been on every show," said Jimmy.
