Jon Fitch has a Bellator Championship in his grasp, but none of his old LJN toys have their manhoods within grasp.
The longtime Welterweight contender will take on Rory MacDonald this year and compete for MacDonald's Bellator Welterweight Title in the Welterweight Grand Prix tournament. However, don't look to see Fitch joining the ranks of WWE's pro wrestling stage like many of his colleagues. In fact, Fitch told Fightful's James Lynch a pretty humorous story about when he found out pro wrestling was scripted.
"It's too silly for me. I was a big fan, thought it was awesome, went to my first wrestling practice and was like 'what the hell?' I was kind of scarred by it. Like, these guys lied to me! I had these rubber dolls, wrestling guys, and I cut their dicks off. My mom thought I was some weird psychopath. I was like 'you're liars, you're not men.' I was like eight years old, Hulk Hogan, Junkyard Dog, Andre the Giant, the Russian Guy. I was pissed, and it took me a long time to not be pissed off about it!" said Fitch.
It should be noted (as seen in the video above) Fitch was very light hearted about the question, which was brought up when mentioning Deron Winn was recruited for WWE. Several MMA fighters -- Ronda Rousey, Matt Riddle, Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, Marina Shafir and others -- have made the transition to the world of WWE.
