Man Like DeReiss Reveals He And Mad Kurt Ghost Wrote Each Other's Tweets

Man Like DeReiss remembers Mad Kurt.

In December of 2023, the wrestling world lost one of its brightest lights with the tragic death of Kurtis "Mad Kurt" Chapman. His memory has lived on with his friends and family with a special memorial scheduled for early March with all proceeds going to the Chapman family.

While speaking to Fightful's Corey Brennan in a recent interview, Man Like DeReiss revealed that for a time, he and Kurt ghost wrote each other's tweets.

"I can't tell you half of these memories because then I don't know if we're going to get in trouble with the police. I'll tell you, I was one of Kurt. Me and Kurt used to do ghost writing for each other on tweets on Twitter. So sometimes you see a tweet that Kurt's tweeted, but I was the one who sent him, you should tweet that, and vice versa. And that's why we used to get in so much trouble by other wrestlers. Not other wrestlers, but we were younger. We were in our early 20s. So then all the wrestlers would be like, you probably shouldn't have tweeted that. I'd be like, it's me. But yeah, we used to go crazy on tweets."

In a seperate interview with Fightful, Michael Oku would share a memory of Kurt's tussle with Banana Bread. You can read more about that here.
