Mariah May: Toni, Thank You, I Love You, You're Going To Die

Mariah May has a bold message for Toni Storm.

The dynamic storyline between Mariah May and AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm has evolved throughout the past year-plus. Throughout the story, May dressed up like Storm and blossomed into a star in her own right. After she won the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament, she turned on Storm. The rivalry has exploded ever since, and May will challenge Storm for the title at AEW All In.

Speaking with Shirleigh for Fightful at a media event ahead of AEW All In, Mariah May was asked about dressing up like Toni Storm for several months.

"It was a little bit different, but I’m an actress, and I love to play a role, and I had Toni Storm and everybody else believing that all I ever wanted was to be like Toni Storm, which isn’t completely untrue, I do want to be Toni Storm, I want to be the face of this division. I want to do all the things that she did. That’s why I have to kill her. Wearing her gears, which let’s face it, are not as nice as mine, was a little bit of a struggle, but I did what I needed to do. I walked in her skin, I made her believe everything so I could get to this exact moment," May said.

As for her own gear at AEW All In, May teased that she had three choices, and they were from different countries. She noted that she was trying to decide which one would be the most fitting outfit for Storm's funeral.

“So being The Glamour, I do have three choices, and they’re all from different countries, too. American, UK, and Japan, so I’m really just deciding which one is most fitting for the funeral of Toni Storm. They’re all completely colorful and inappropriate for a funeral, which checks out because I don’t respect you, Toni Storm," May said.

May was also asked whether any other shoes could work as a weapon of choice, and she pointed to the YSL heels. May also stated that using Storm's own shoe was fitting, and she would leave that shoe on her grave once she beat her.

“There’s like the YSL heels, which have the literal YSL logo as the heel. I would love to put that in Toni Storm’s forehead. But the fact that I could use her disgusting granny shoe, which god knows what charity shop she dragged this out of, to do it to her felt the most fitting, and I think once I finally put Toni Storm out to pasture, I’ll leave the shoe on her grave," May said.

When asked for a final message to Storm, Mariah May kept it short and sweet. She said that she loved Toni and thanked her, but she declared that the champion was going to die.

“Toni, I love you, I thank you, and you are going to die," May said.

During the interview, May looked forward to celebrating her win over Toni Storm. Check out her comments here.
