More Details On Mandy Rose's Release

Fightful Select learned that Mandy Rose has been released from her WWE contract on December 14.

Fightful has learned that WWE felt they were put in a position where they needed to release her due to what they considered the explicit nature of the content on her FanTime page. They considered this to be outside the parameters of her WWE contract. In following up, WWE sources indicated to Fightful that they felt like the content was not appropriate for one or more of their partner relationships, and that she didn't seem interested in ceasing posting.

Fightful gained word December 13, shortly before the NXT show that Mandy Rose would be dropping the title to Roxanne Perez in what was called an "abrupt" decision.

It's worth noting, we don't have information now as to whether or not Mandy had requested the release, if it were on WWE's side completely, or a mutual agreement, even as of yet. We've learned that in recent months Mandy had indicated to others that she realized the content and nature of her page could get her in trouble with management.

Mandy sent a message to her subscribers on December 14, saying "Hey guys, thank you for all the messages. I am overwhelmed with all the love and support from you guys. And don't worry the page is still up! ;)"

We're told that things seemed "very hasty" as it relates to Mandy Rose losing the NXT Title December 13. Fightful got word about 15 minutes before NXT went on the air, that word was that a major title switch was going to happen, with Mandy dropping the championship.

Those close to Mandy Rose claim she was in good spirits at the NXT show December 14, as well as immediately following the release. Obviously, she's going to be fine from a financial standpoint.

Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin, who Mandy had been in a stable with for over a year, had several looks on the WWE main roster and we're told had long impressed people of influence. However, we'd not learned of any advanced plans to bring Mandy back to the main roster.

Mandy Rose was one of many WWE talent that were signed to new, five year deals in 2019, which means she had nearly two years left on her contract at the time of the release. There were some WWE sources that were at least trying to leak that Mandy Rose had requested her release two weeks ago, but so far, we've not been given any indication that's true.

Those we've spoken to in WWE say that third party agreements WWE had in place made the decision a "slam dunk" and said that a return down the line is possible, but not while Mandy is posting content of the same nature in which she was.
