Myla Grace: I Wanted To Go To Japan For The Longest Time, I Can't Stress How Much I Loved It

Myla Grace reflects on finding out she would be heading to Japan with Marigold.

In mid 2024, Myla Grace made her Marigold debut, beginning a run with the promotion that would run through the end of the year. During her time in the promotion, the former NXT UK name faced off with some of the top names in Marigold, and was looking forward to the run for a long time prior.

In a new interview with Fightful's Corey Brennan, Myla reflected on her journey to Japan and how it had been a long term goal for her spanning back to her NXT UK days.

"So honestly, I wanted to go to Japan for the longest time, if I'm being honest, when I was in NXT UK, I was... we would have maybe two weeks on, and then, four to six weeks off, and I was constantly looking, how can I get to Japan in those six weeks? Because I had the freedom to do.. I mean if if Japan could happen, I was allowed to, and I was really really.. I just really wanted to go to Japan, so then, when NXT UK ended for me, my thing was, right, get me to Japan. This is something that I've been trying to pursue for a very, very long time and it actually came about this time last year. So I've known for so long that I was going. So I got the email on the 7th of January because it came up my memories the other day and they'd asked if I wanted to come for like maybe two, three months um and then as the time got closer, they said to me, 'like would you like to stay longer? You can stay for a year if you like, but I know that's like a really long time. So how about you stay for six months?' So I was like, yeah, okay. But I don't know how it kind of turned into almost eight months, but I'm not complaining because honestly, I feel like if I had to stay any less, it just wouldn't have felt enough. I really, I can't stress how much like I loved it. So so much like I needed to do that long period of time there."

Grace finished up with Marigold on December 26th, where she took part in a Marigold Twin Star title match.
