Rocky Romero: I Think Ronda Rousey Would Fit Perfectly In NJPW STRONG/STARDOM, I'm All For It

Rocky Romero comments on the possibility of Ronda Rousey joining NJPW STRONG or STARDOM.

Many fans thought Ronda Rousey was quietly exiting the sport of professional wrestling after she lost to Shayna Baszler at the SummerSlam premium live event in August.

As it turns out, that wasn't the case, as Rousey made a surprise appearance at a Lucha VaVoom event on October 26, teaming with Marina Shafir. Days later, it was announced that Rousey would be teaming with Shafir at a Wrestling REVOLVER event against Billie Starkz & Athena.

While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Rocky Romero stated that he was open to the idea of Rousey joining NJPW STRONG/STARDOM.

"I’m all for [Rousey in New Japan Strong/Stardom]. I’ve never met Ronda. I’m on [Wrestling REVOLVER Unreal]. I definitely look forward to connecting with her. If there is ever a possibility that Ronda could show up on a New Japan show and maybe it Stardom, it could be awesome. Really cool. I think she would fit perfectly, better than any other company in Japan. Working in Japan, her style fits that so perfectly. Her background, Japanese fans really understand that part. Imagining Ronda Rousey doing a New Japan show would be incredible. That would be super cool."

It is currently unknown if Rousey will continue her path through the independent scene. Fightful will continue to update fans as more is known.
