While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Akeem said that he thinks the faction was able to secure a spot in the commercial because they had great relationships with many people in NXT.

"You know, again, it's just being a decent person. I don't think it was like, ‘We want the OTM to be this Snickers commercial.’ It was, I'm sure it was guys in NXT or the higher ups in NXT saying, ‘Let's give it to OTM.’ Because we generally had great relationships with almost everyone. I didn't rub anyone the wrong way, the boys didn't. We were genuinely liked by a lot of people and so when it happened, it was kind of like a thank you. I guess for being decent people, you know, in a business where it can be a lot of real people for sure."

Elsewhere in the interview, Akeem talked about how he wants to carve out a career for himself on the independent scene. Learn more by clicking here.
