Trey Miguel reflects on Wes Lee competing at Slammiversary.
Lee made his return to TNA at the Slammiversary event in July, teaming with his Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz to reunite The Rascalz against the No Quarter Catch Crew. The Rascalz were succuessful in their outing, picking up the victory in one of the best matches on the entire card.
While speaking to Fightful for an interview that was recorded before Wes Lee's betrayal, Trey Miguel talked about Lee getting to return to TNA after four years and how it meant so much to have him at the show.
"So he wasn't ready when we were ready to leave, Zach and I. So we Ubered without him. Zach and I walked into the arena first before Wes because he had so many hellos. You know what I mean? Like so we wanted to be a part of as many moments as we could, but we were also like, ‘I gotta see this ring,’ you know what I mean? So we get out there and when he walked through and his words exactly were just like, ‘I can't believe I'm here right now.’ As much as everyone wanted to call last night another like Rascalz reunion., it’s like, no man, this was Wes’s homecoming. That was the Rascalz homecoming. Before we got to TNA, we didn't have the Rascalz. Like we were the Rascalz, that was our name. The indies didn't give us any bookings that were included, all three of us, until we went overseas, but that was right before we got signed. We really got to know each other as a trio at Impact. So it meant so much to have them here. It really did. I’m sure that’s what he would say, too."
Elsewhere in the interview, Miguel discussed talked about how The Rascalz never stopped dreaming about a potential reunion. Check out those comments by clicking here.
