Jason Baker is excited for wrestling fans to see what is coming next.
Last week on Monday Night RAW, a vignette aired featuring former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt as he has reincarnated himself as a part of the 'Firefly Fun House'. Leading up to the airing of the 'Firefly Fun House' promo, there were multiple vignettes that aired for weeks which signaled the return of "The Eater Of Worlds". The initial promo was shot in a dark setting and puppets named "Mercy The Buzzard" and "Abbie The Witch" were used in both the initial and 'Firefly Fun House' videos.
Firefly Fun House garnered a great deal of attention on social media and received varying responses. The likes of Cesaro and current WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins got a glimpse of the segment as it aired live while they were backstage at RAW. Justin LaBar welcomed Firefly Fun House director Jason Baker onto his 'Wrestling Reality' podcast recently and without saying too much, Jason stated that he is excited for wrestling fans to see what's coming next for 'Firefly Fun House' and believes it will catch some people off guard.
“I cannot wait for the fans to see what comes next. I think it’s gonna catch some people off guard in a good way.” Baker said.
Jason was asked about his experience working with Bray Wyatt and praised Bray's intelligence. Baker said that Wyatt is a very intense individual and always has ideas flowing through his head. Baker even placed Bray Wyatt in the same conversation as a Will Smith, Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe in regard to mindsets for character development.
“Bray’s great man. He’s intense. He’s always thinking, and then he’s thinking past what he’s thinking. That man is… what’s that old saying? The razor’s edge between genius and insanity? And that man walks that razor’s edge constantly. Very, very smart. Smarter than a lot of people give him credit for. Great to collaborate with. You think you’re gonna throw an idea at him, he comes back with eight. You think you’re gonna hit him up with a piece of trivial knowledge, he’ll hit right back. He’ll see your trivial knowledge and then raise ya." Baker laughed. "He is a unique, unique human being. Its been an absolute pleasure and an honor to get to collaborate with this gentleman -- with someone who just puts such a thought process into his craft. I’ve had the opportunity of working on films with Russell Crowe and Tom Cruise, Will Smith and a bunch of other people working here in the Pittsburgh film industry and his mindset for his character development is on par with those guys. It’s a site to see. It’s something definitely to behold. I was thoroughly impressed with how much dedication he brings into his art and to his craft.”
Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp and Alex Pawlowski talked about the 'Firefly Fun House' promo during the latest edition of the Fightful post-RAW podcast and the clip from that portion of the podcast is up on the Fightful Pro Wrestling YouTube channel.
