After winning the AEW World Title at AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland announced that his new shoe the Pressure 1s would be releasing soon.
Speaking to Freddie Prinze Jr on Wrestling With Freddie, Flash Garments, who designed the show and worked alongside Swerve on "Big Pressure," gave more insight into the design.
"The origin of this shoe. When we first started talking about it, it was a while ago. It was turnbuckles, the material of green. I wanted pieces of me and him in it. When I was designing it, the majority of the shoe was all about Swerve and his style and colors he likes to wear and his military background. Then you have the flashiness, with my name Flash Garmets, with the gator-esque, vegan, and the Garments logo and Swerve logo. Mache was the guy who put it all together and simplified my design. He's the designer who put it all together. He's a shoe customizer and ended up making his whole silquohette. I reached out and said 'it would be dope if we did it together.' I told him about Swerve. He started seeing him come up," recalled Garments.
