Flip Gordon Says He Was "Freaking Out On The Inside" Watching Jay Lethal Make His Entrance At 'All In'

It was cool for Flip to see one of his childhood favorites make his way to the ring.

In just two days, 'All In' will have been one month old. There were eleven matches on the show with two of those matches featuring Flip Gordon. On the 'All In' kickoff show which aired on WGN America, Flip Gordon emerged victorious from the 'Over The Budget' Battle Royal in-which he was out for the majority of the match. Winning the Battle Royal earned Flip the opportunity to challenge Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship later on in the night.

As the time came for Flip to have his shot at the top prize in Ring Of Honor, he soon heard the music of Jay Lethal's "alter ego" the "Black Machismo" and Lethal was accompanied to the ring by the brother of "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Lanny Poffo. Flip stated that getting to see Lethal make that entrance live was a surreal feeling and Flip dove more into that during an interview with Josiah MacDonald of 'FanSided'.

"It was hard to keep it together to be honest." Flip revealed. "I grew up watching Lethal back when he was on the top in TNA, and getting to go against him as Black Machismo was surreal. It was really dream come true, and I was freaking out on the inside."

Gordon also spoke about the match he had with Lethal that went a little over fourteen minutes. Gordon stated that from his perspective the match was much different than what people may have expected it to be and he further elaborated on that.

"I think that match was very different from what a lot of people were expecting, and I think it was different than anything I’ve done before. It was a lot of fun to get out there and do something different and try something new. We went out there, and I think we did what we were supposed to do and I think it worked. It was one of the most fun matches I was ever a part of, and not just because it was in front of 11,000 people." Gordon concluded.
