Just when the night was starting to calm down, things picked right back up.
The WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne successfully defended his title in the main event of NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool against 'Gallus' leader Joe Coffey. Dunne and Coffey went to war in a 20+ minute match but in the end it was "The Bruiserweight" reigning on and continuing his 600-day reign as WWE United Kingdom Champion.

Just as the ending credits popped up on the screen, the familiar theme of the current PROGRESS World Champion WALTER hit over the loud speakers and he made his first appearance for the NXT UK brand to confront Pete Dunne. WALTER and Pete Dunne did not take their eyes off one another as the crowd inside the Empress Ballroom went ballistic. Joe Coffey, who lost the main event title match to Pete Dunne, attempted to step back into the ring but was given a big boot from WALTER and WALTER then refocused on Pete Dunne and told "The Bruiserweight", "Okay mate" and walked away from the ring after making it known that he is here.

It was reported in late November that WALTER signed with WWE and within that report it was noted that WWE was interested in WALTER dating back to March of 2018 and after signing the Austrian big man, he made his presence felt in NXT UK and did it by stepping to the top dog on the brand.
