Frankie Kazarian: I'm Proud To Be A TNA Original, TNA Will Get To The Mountaintop With Me As World Champion

Frankie Kazarian discusses the evolution of his relationship to TNA Wrestling.

Outside of stints in AEW and ROH and a very quick cup of coffee in WWE, Frankie Kazarian has spent most of his career in TNA Wrestling. More than 20 years later, the relationship continues to grow and change as the promotion does.

Answering Sean Ross Sapp's question during a press conference prior to TNA Bound For Glory 2024, Kazarian explained the evolution from his perspective and how he feels watching TNA change and grow.

"Everybody at this table, they've done a lot of great things to our industry. I am a TNA original. I was with this company when, you know, we were told every week, 'This is it. This is your last show, guys, you're not going to make it. You're not going to get a TV deal.' Oh, you got a TV deal? It's not going to last...' Look, I went through all of that." he said. "Honestly, it was like being in the foxholes, being on the front line, you know, just being that 'Little Engine That Could' and continuing to try to find our identity, and helping create the X-Division, which really did help TNA get its identity. Being one of those guys, I wear that as a badge of honor. Being an original in this company, I wear it as a badge of honor, being a guy that was involved in the first-ever Ultimate X Match. When you look at the history of Frankie Kazarian, yes, I've wrestled in every company, but the body of work that I'm most proud of, I've done here.

"I had an opportunity to come back a couple years ago. I left where I was and could not leave that place quicker, and came here because I believed in TNA, and I believed in the roster, and I believed I had a lot left to prove and a lot left to offer. I think over the last two years, I have shown that I was right. Going back to last year at Bound For Glory, announcing the rebrand, that TNA is back, the momentum was we've that. We've had with Joe leading the charge, with Nick coming on board, with the greatest tag team in the history of pro wrestling coming back. You know, we're we're riding a high right now, and I want to continue that. I truly believe that the only way this company does get to the mountaintop is with Frankie Kazarian leading it as World Champion, and that's going to happen as soon as this lover's quarrel is settled."

By "lover's quarrel," Frankie Kazarian was referring to the main event of the upcoming pay-per-view on October 26, where he will be the referee in the match between Nic Nemeth and Joe Hendry in a match for the TNA Wrestling World Championship.
