Gabe Kidd gains gold.
Gabe Kidd won the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship at NJPW Resurgence, defeating Eddie Kingston in a no rope last man standing match.
The finish saw Kidd hit a brainbuster Kingston through a table that was propped between the ring and the barricade. The back of Kingston's legs hit hard on the guard rail. Kidd was able to get up just before the count of ten while Kingston remained down for the ten count.
