Gisele Shaw hopes to build a legacy in IMPACT Wrestling.
Shaw, who previously competed for Revolution Pro Wrestling and Progress Wrestling, among other promotions, arrived in IMPACT in February 2022, and she has been a featured member of the roster ever since. During her time with the company, she has challenged for the Knockouts Tag Team Championship, and she has also competed in singles action.
Speaking on Excuse Me: The Vickie Guerrero Show, Shaw was asked to describe what's next for her, and whether she prefers wrestling in singles action or working as part of a tag team. She stated that she doesn't have a preference, and she's focused on leaving a legacy by helping the next generation. Shaw also stated that she wants to win some gold, but she's not putting too much pressure on herself.
“I don’t have a preference, singles or a tag team. I’m just super happy that I’m there, at IMPACT Wrestling, and I just want to leave a legacy where I’m inspiring and educating the next generation because I feel like what I’m doing now, I’m representing a community, my country, the Philippines, and Canada, obviously. So I just want to be able to show the younger generation that it’s okay, that you can do it if you just go after your dreams, you you can achieve whatever you want. I don’t really want to put that pressure on myself. Obviously, I want to be Knockouts World Champion one day, I want to be Knockouts Tag Team Champion one day, but I feel like the universe has a plan for everyone, and I just need to keep focused and keep delivering. When the time comes, then I’ll just celebrate like a champ [laughs]," Shaw said.
In a recent interview, Shaw stated that she wants to put a positive meaning on the word "diva". Check out her comments here.
