Goldberg: I've Talked To Tony Khan About Potentially Joining AEW, But The Product Is Too Cheesy, No Chance

Goldberg has passed on AEW.

In May 2023, Tony Khan said he had talked to Goldberg, who entered free agency after his WWE contract expired at the end of 2022.

Speaking on 93.7 The Ticket, Goldberg was asked whether he has ever had conversations with Tony Khan about potentially joining AEW.

“I’ve talked to him a number of times throughout the past. But this is where you’re gonna get the most blunt answer you’re gonna get from me. The product’s too cheesy. The product is too cheesy. It doesn’t deserve to have…I mean, whatever. You’re really gonna get me going. But if there was a comparable, viable option as a competitor that would allow me to still look myself in the mirror after I was a member of their roster, yeah, then it would be a consideration. But not a chance," Goldberg said.

Goldberg, 57, has not wrestled since WWE Elimination Chamber 2022. He is a WWE Hall of Famer and a former Universal Champion, among other accolades. It is not known whether he will return to the ring.

Goldberg recently commented on "a girl" beating his undefeated streak and everyone using a Spear in WWE. Check out his comments here.
