Grayson Waller Doesn't Want To Be A Babyface, 'Babyfaces Have To Pretend They Love The Fans. I Can’t Stand The Fans'

Grayson Waller doesn't want to be a babyface.

Throughout the entirety of his career in WWE, Grayson Waller has maintained his status as a top level heel. In NXT, Waller was a bit toned down compared to the current version of his character, who is currently aligned with Austin Theory in a tag team.

In recent months, there has been signs of tension between Waller and Theory, leading many fans to believe that the tag team is destined to break up at some point. If you're advocating for Waller to emerge from the team as a babyface, well, don't hold your breath.

“It’s possible but I don’t really want to. The one thing I hate about being a babyface is, I don’t think I’d be honest. I think you have all of these babyfaces that have to pretend they love the fans and I can’t stand the fans. I think wrestling fans are the worst fans in the world. Not the fans who pay to come and have a good time on a Friday with the family and stuff, that’s fine. These flop fans online, these smart guys who think they know wrestling, they’re the worst. They will turn on people in an instant. It doesn’t work on me, you have no power over me because I don’t care what you say. I can do whatever I want. You hate me? Good, it doesn’t affect me. I feel bad for the good guys who have to pretend they like these people and give them a hug and sign stuff in the airport at 3AM. I don’t have to deal with that. My main thing is, I don’t want to be a babyface because I don’t want to pretend I have to like these people, I can’t stand them.” Waller said while speaking to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview.

Waller then went on to explain that he likes ruining the night for various fans, whether they're young or old.

“And I don’t [like the fans]. I really don’t. I don’t think being a babyface is me. Maybe there’s a scenario, like when I was wrestling in Australia, it kind of naturally happened when people started cheering me, but I didn’t change who I was. They kind of just respected what I was doing at the time. Even I went back to Australia two weeks ago and there was fans there that were cheering for me, but that’s not what I do this for. I do this for the seven year old kid where its his first time experiencing wrestling and he’s so happy and he brought his wrestling is good sign and I can to hit that sign as hard as he can and he starts crying. I’m here to have grandma yelling at me as loud as she can because she hates what I’m doing. I’m here to have the 30 year old in the black shirt, he’s trying to say, ‘You suck Grayson’ but he’s got so many chins it’s hard for him to breathe properly. I’m here to ruin his night, that’s where I get glee from, that’s what sets me apart from a lot of people.”
