Austin & Colten Gunn talk about the luxuries that have been afforded them since joining The Firm.
About a month ago, The Firm was introduced to All Elite Wrestling. The faction, which is a stable on retainer for MJF, includes big names such as The Gunns, Lee Moriarty, Ethan Page, and W. Morrissey. The group is also headed by Stokely Hathaway.
Although the 'Assboy' duo haven't competed in a match since joining the new faction, they are both quite happy with the benefits that the stable has afforded them. In a new interview with the AEW Unrestricted podcast, both Colten and Austin gushed about joining The Firm.
Colten: “I mean for me and Austin, it’s been great. Me and Austin just got back from New York Fashion Week. One week after we join The Firm, we’re front row VIP at New York Fashion Week. We’re getting dressed by designers, life couldn’t be better right now. The Firm has given us unlimited opportunities and we are Hollywood.”
Austin: "Yeah. I was shooting DMs. New York Fashion Week. I have a blue checkmark by my name. I’m part of The Firm, what’s up, I’m here representing The Firm, I’m representing AEW. I’m shooting DMs to every single model at lingerie shows. I’m coming off of a reality TV show. There’s nothing that The Gunns can’t do but now it’s finally time for somebody to realize our potential. We’re not just in this company to lose matches and get other people over. The Gunns are winning the Tag Team Championship belts, that’s what we’re doing. The Firm can help get us there. It’s as easy as that."
Colten: "Yeah and we’re surrounded by like minded people like Ethan Page, Lee Moriarty, Big Cass… we’ve been overlooked the whole time we’ve been in AEW and now that we’re together, we are gonna take this whole company over and every single person is gonna get what Stokely said in that promo.”
Other popular wrestling stars such as Sasha Banks, Naomi, and Wardlow also made appearances at the recent New York Fashion Week.
Although The Gunns have their eyes set on the prestigious belts, The Acclaimed are the current AEW World Tag Team Champions. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens won the belts back at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 21. The two teams have been feuding for months.
