Gunther has his next opponent.
WWE announced Gunther will defend his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Braun Strowman on the January 13 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Strowman interrupted Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) looking back on Gunther's reign during Friday's WWE SmackDown. Strowman noted that Gunther hasn't defeated him. The odds caught up to Strowman and Gunther tore at his arm until Ricochet made the save.
