Hangman Page Knocks Out Swerve Strickland With Chair Shot In Lights Out Steel Cage Match At AEW All Out

Hangman Page gets revenge.

The bitter rivalry between Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland came to a head in the main event of AEW All Out, where they clashed in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match. The Lights Out stipulation was added after Page set fire to Strickland's childhood home on the September 4th episode of AEW Dynamite.

Heading into their match at AEW All Out, Strickland previously defeated Page at AEW WrestleDream 2023 and AEW Full Gear 2023. They also fought to a time-limit draw on the February 7th, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite.

Before the cage even lowered at AEW All Out, Strickland charged Page and sent him to the outside with a kick.

They continued to brawl back and forth. Weapons were brought into the match early on, as Page used a staple gun on Strickland. Strickland responded by using the staple gun to staple pictures to Page's chest and face.

Throughout the match, the two foes also used the cage wall as a weapon, as they slammed each other into it and ground each other into the mesh. Both men were bleeding in the early going. Page and Strickland also hit each other with a chair.

The match kicked into a new gear when Strickland slammed Page onto a cinderblock with a Vertebreaker. Strickland also hit a Swerve Stomp through a table. Later on, Page got a burnt splinter from Strickland's childhood home, but Strickland used it against Page.

Page rallied with a low blow, and he hit a nasty powerbomb onto a cinderblock that did not break. Strickland kept fighting as he hit a House Call. Page took a big swing by powerbombing Strickland nearly from the top of the cage.

Strickland refused to stay down, and he even laughed Page off. But Page was determined to get revenge, so he continued to sink to new lows. After pulling Strickland's grill out of his mouth, he injected Strickland's cheek with a needle.

In the end, he broke a chair over Strickland's head, and the referee stopped the match. Page was announced the winner via knockout.

Page then triumphantly celebrated as the show came to an end. Meanwhile, medical personnel were checking out Strickland in the ring.
